Welcome to the sixth drop of my newsletter! Woo! I have another essay for you called “ intuition vs. decisiveness vs. haste” which is a meditation in how I see these three concepts as being related.
“Cool Shit I Found” is a series where I create a highlight reel of cool stuff I’ve come across in the past week or just in general. I hope that this newsletter will inspire meaningful conversations and connections. As always, thanks for joining me on this journey of exploration and self-discovery.
This newsletter is broken up into the following:
I. Articles / Excerpts
II. Visual Art + Media

intuition vs decisiveness vs haste
have you ever wondered what the relation between these three concepts were? as of 2 hours ago, i have. hop in on a cool meditation I wrote on these three concepts. here’s a preview:
Universe App Website Copy
I was thinking of different products that help people put up their work out into the world quicker, and I remembered this neat app called Universe. I think they’re cool because they make building a website so easy you could just do it on your phone. And for what its worth, I think they’re onto something! Seeing how most of us spend an ungodly amount of time on our phones, I think this thesis checks out: you do everything else and more on your phone, why not make a website on it?
Well, for a website that’s trying to convince you to use their product, which mind you is to make a website through their product, their writing led me down a pretty interesting journey that I think you’d appreciate as well:
closeness is rare
People confide in me this sentiment over and over and over again. It causes them great pain and anguish. While I can empathize, the truth is that only they themselves can set themselves free. What’s this sentiment? The idea of feeling lost in the crowd, unseen, perpetually just a speck in a large landscape of humans. "
How do I make friends?
I really really want to be friends with so and so, but they’re not giving me the time of day
If those thoughts are either things that you’ve said or just flew across your mind, I highly recommend reading this article. There’s both the words to describing your reality, and also the antidote to your ailment. Cheers, and here’s a preview:
II. Visual Arts + Media
Oceans Twelve Laser Scene
I was driving up to a hike with my roommate and he remarked how as of late I’ve somehow managed to get myself out of shit (that i started) a few times this week and how it reminded him of this scene. I’ve literally never seen it before, and its a fun song!
Munchies: LA’s Best Texas BBQ
The story here really just touched my heart man. I had to share it. It’s about a family in Los Angeles grinding to serve some bomb barbeque after the patriach of the restaurant and family sadly left the world. RIP Ray
In The Mood For Love
I watched Wong Kar Wai’s “In the Mood For Love” this past week, and I had to remind ya’ll that Tony Leung is a sexy ass mf.

Young Nudy Gumbo Album Art
You gotta see this kid’s work. I have no idea who Yung Nudy is, never heard of him. But whoever he has on deck as his creative for his album art needs to be given their flowers ASAP.
III. Music I’ve been listening to
Ezra Collective
I’ve been on this cool 3 week all brass bender where I just keep coming up on some really amazing brass instrument solos. Ezra collective really caught my soul, so I wanted to share.
Juls | Boiler Room
